Bio
Mariana graduated from IST with a BSc+MSc in Biological Engineering, in 2016. Her master thesis project, conducted in the Department of Biochemical Engineering (UCL) under the supervision of Professor Nicolas Szita, was on the development of microfluidic systems for the production of pharmaceutical intermediates. Currently, as a PhD student in the Department of Biochemical Engineering (UCL) with sponsorship from Sigma-Aldrich (Member of Merck Group), Mariana is studying the production and isolation unstable intermediates in microfluidic devices.
